Our site layout & facilities mean we are able to easily maintain Social Distancing requirements and we are following the Government Guidelines on cleaning & hygiene.
If any member of a party experiences coronavirus symptoms while staying with us they need to alert us immediately. In line with Government Guidance they will need to leave immediately, return home and be tested. Once the results of the coronavirus test are known we need to be informed of the result (positive or negative). Failure to alert us to symptoms and follow these instructions will result in liability for additional charges for all affected bookings.
A full refund will only be given in the event of a Government Lockdown.
In the event you are unable to travel for your booking due to contracting Coronavirus or being told to isolate through Track & Trace our standard Cancellation policy (see 2.0) applies.
1.0 Bookings and Payment
1.1 All bookings via our online system should be treated as provisional until we have received payment. If you have any problem making an online payment we will contact you to resolve this. At the time of booking, we take a non-refundable booking deposit of 30%, with the balance payable plus refundable damages deposit at least 8 weeks in advance of your stay. Bookings made within 8 weeks of your desired dates must be paid in full at the time of booking. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the deposit (or full payment), has been received.
1.2 Damages Deposit - A deposit of £150 per tent is required to secure against damages, anti-social behaviour or any additional cleaning. You are responsible for any damage that occurs during your holiday and all damage needs to be reported before your departure. You will only be charged for the replacement value of items broken or damaged. This deposit is held on your payment card as a pre-authorisation and is released in full 3 to 5 working days after departure provided no damage occurs.
1.3 If the balance is not paid by the due date, Wingfield Escapes reserves the right to re-let the tent and retain the deposit.
1.4 Wingfield Escapes only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age and the person that accepts the booking agrees to Wingfield Escapes’ Terms & Conditions of stay on behalf of all of their party.
1.5 Wingfield Escapes reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
1.6 The prices featured on the website are not binding on Wingfield Escapes; Wingfield Escapes reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the confirmation invoice is binding.
2.1 Any cancellation 8 weeks or more prior to your stay will result in the loss of your 30% booking deposit. Any cancellation within 8 weeks prior to your stay will result in 50% loss of the total booking. No refund will be given for any cancellation within 0-6 weeks prior to your stay.
2.2 Should Wingfield Escapes have to cancel your holiday at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, we shall inform you as soon as possible and a full refund will be given in the unlikely event this should occur.
3.0 Arrival and Departure
3.1 Check in is from 4PM and check out strictly by 1000AM on the day of departure.
3.2 We ask you leave the tent in the same clean condition in which you found it. If there is any unreasonable damage caused by negligence or items that go missing we reserve the right to reclaim any monies from the damages deposit.
4.0 Accommodation Capacity
4.1 If the number of guests in one tent is higher than that booked or the total marketed capacity of the accommodation, then Wingfield Escapes reserves the right to order any unauthorised persons from the premises.
5.1 One well behaved dog in Hare or Pheasant Lodge and up to 2 well behaved dogs in Fox or Stag Lodge are welcome, charged at £25 each. Please note they are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Please clean up after your dog(s) and make sure they are clean before entering the accommodation.
5.2 Dogs must not be left unsupervised in the tent.
5.3 As well as being mindful of other guests, please note Wingfield Escapes has free range chickens and livestock in neighbouring fields, therefore, dogs must be kept on a lead under control at all times except in the dog paddock.
5.4 Dogs are welcome at the owner’s risk, however Wingfield Escapes does not accept liability for harm or injury caused by (or to) your dog during your stay.
6.0 Noise and Behaviour
6.1 We ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am, in consideration of others. Please ensure that any music is played at a reasonable level and any noise must be kept within an appropriate level bearing in mind other parties staying.
6.2 We reserve the right to ask any persons to leave the premises and their holiday ended with immediate effect during their stay in the event that a Guest’s behaviour impacts upon the reasonable enjoyment and/or use of the site by other Guests or the owners. This includes any excessive disturbance (to include loud music, raucous/threatening behaviour, dangerous or any illegal activity). No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
6.3 Smoking or vaping is not permitted at any time on site.
7.0 Firewood and safety
7.1 Only logs, firelighters and matches provided by Wingfield Escapes may be used in the log burners. An information sheet and disclaimer will be provided on site.
7.2 No naked flames (candles, tealights etc) may be used inside the tents
8.1 Wingfield Escapes does not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage of property, personal injury or any accident that may arise during your stay.
8.2 By booking and coming to Wingfield Escapes you agree to be responsible for your own welfare, for your children, and any children in your care, dogs and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to facilities and tents. Children and dogs must be supervised at all times.
